Cooperative Educational Services and Linda Page, Director of its School Readiness Program, honored United Way and 5 other organizations and individuals today with its first annual Success Through Educational Partnerships Award at the Regional Center for the Arts High School in Trumbull.  We are proud of our partnership with C.E.S. and are glad that our work in providing preschool students and their families with children’s books and literacy workshops to promote reading and literacy in the classroom and at home is making a difference in the C.E.S.

As it continues to grow, Young Leaders Society members have enjoyed multiple opportunities to meet CEOs and other high level corporate representative through a series of networking events. The Alexis de Tocqueville Society Event on March 4th put the group in conversation with both Brian Gallagher, President & CEO of United Way Worldwide, and Jeffrey Immelt, President & CEO of GE, as well as other United Way corporate partners such as Aquarion, Sikorsky, Deloitte, People’s United Bank, Sun Products, UBS, Arch Chemical and Southern Connecticut Gas.

RBS is a strong support for United Way of Coastal Fairfield County raising nearly $108,000 for the community through their generous ePledge Campaign, various Special Event Fundraisers like the Pancake Sale, as well as a generous corporate gift of $60,000 from it's parent company, Citizen’s Bank. 
 

RBS Hosts Pancake Sale for United Way

Back by popular demand, the RBS United Way Steering Committee will host a pancake sale on Wednesday, February 16th, 2010.

The I  United Way Pancake Sale will take place from 7:30-9:30 AM* in the 11th Floor Cafeteria at RBS. 

The cost is $1.00 per pancake and all proceeds will benefit the United Way.

Remember: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
