The goal of The Mentoring Institute of Coastal Fairfield County is to increase the number of youth matched with well-prepared mentors by building the capacity of participating mentoring programs and by enhancing their efforts in mentor recruitment, screening, matching and training.To achieve this goal, The Mentoring Institute relies on the work and dedication of sub-committees that meet on a regular basis to establish priorities and develop and implement year-round and region-wide strategies to 1) recruit mentors, 2) promote enhanced quality standards, and 3) build the capacity of programs and mentors through training.
