CoastalCT Senior Transportation
Coastal CT Senior Transportation is an organization aimed at enabling seniors to stay in their communities and independent.
The quality of life of many seniors depends on their ability to retain mobility. With a goal of helping older people 60+ and the visually impaired to remain in their homes with independence, United Way's funding of Coastal CT Senior Transportationhelps provide a lifelong transportation plan and a way for families to support aging relatives and family members even when they live too far to be on site to help.
Coastal CT Senior Transportation provides cars and drives for all types of trips- doctors, shopping, entertainment etc. Seniors may donate cars in exchange for rides or pay as they go. Coastal CT Senior Transportation is designed to help seniors get where ever they want to go and has sliding scale available for those who need financial assistance. The United Way has awarded a start-up grant of $25,000 to Coastal CT Senior Transportation which will serve seniors in Easton, Fairfield, Norwalk, Weston, Westport, Wilton.
